We can meet online, which allows you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

This is your therapy. I'm here to help you meet your goals. The first 2 or 3 sessions will be spent getting to know each other. I want to hear your story, whatever parts you are ready to share. You decide when and how much you would like to say about yourself. I like to start with people's strengths - what is working for you? We will look at what isn't working too.

 

Sometimes we develop coping skills that can be helpful in old situations and likely find that they are not helpful (or can even be hurtful) now. We can work on discovering and developing more helpful and effective coping skills.

Many people who have experienced trauma develop "black and white" thinking. It makes sense and it is a normal response; that kind of thinking is related to SAFETY. Something is either GOOD or BAD. It can't be both. That type of thinking likely helped when they were in a bad situation. However, it isn't helpful later on. In fact, it tends to limit people's experiences and relationships. We will go at your pace to explore these types of issues. I am here to support and guide you, but you always decide what you are ready to discuss or try.

We can meet by Zoom for online sessions. If you don't already have Zoom, you can download and use it for free (link below).

PAYMENT

I take Aetna, Cigna, United, Oxford and Oscar Health.

 

My private pay rate is $125 per 55 minute session.  

 

If you have insurance that I do not take, I can provide you with a monthly superbill (a receipt showing how much you paid out-of-pocket). You can submit that to your insurance company to see if it is covered out of network.
